Sophie and Jordy had their litter of 9 gorgeous pups on May 12th! There are 6 boys and 3 girls! Some of the pups are light in color and others are very light in color. They will all darken somewhat as their puppy and adult coats come in.

One of the males is very special. He was born without a tail! He is healthy and normal in every other way, but from behind, he looks like a polar bear looks!!! :-) 

I am calling him Koda for now. You will be able to rename him if you choose to. I chose Koda because in Latin, Koda means 'Tail.' Also, in many Native American languages, Koda means 'Friend' and I can't think of a more fitting name than that for this beautiful little golden retriever boy!!! If you are drawn to this amazing boy and would like to adopt him, please let me know!
